909Brokers works with accountants, attorneys, commercial lenders, real estate professionals, consultants, insurance professionals, franchise advisors, business owners, investors, and other trusted sources who encounter business sale or acquisition opportunities.

Seller Referral

Introduce an owner considering a sale, valuation, BOVL, exit plan, confidential listing, or buyer conversation.

Buyer Referral

Introduce a qualified buyer, investor, franchisee, operator, or acquisition entrepreneur.

Transaction Referral

Register an opportunity, existing conversation, acquisition target, or broker-to-broker deal.

Referral Compensation Agreement

Dear Referral Partner:

This agreement acknowledges that you have introduced or may introduce a buyer, seller, acquisition target, business owner, investor, or other opportunity to 909Brokers. The opportunity will be tracked as a registered referral and reviewed by the appropriate broker or territory representative.

Referral Compensation Summary

If a transaction is completed as a result of the referral, referral compensation may be paid according to the applicable agreement, transaction size, broker assignment, licensing requirements, and any written terms confirmed by 909Brokers.

A simple Lehman-style referral schedule may be used as a reference point: 5% of the first $1,000,000 of aggregate consideration, 4% of the second $1,000,000, 3% of the third $1,000,000, 2% of the fourth $1,000,000, and 1% above $4,000,000, subject to written confirmation and closing.

Referral partners do not represent themselves as brokers unless properly licensed and authorized. Confidentiality, non-circumvention, and transaction-specific rules apply.

Any dispute or interpretation issue may be addressed under Massachusetts law unless a transaction-specific agreement provides otherwise. The referring party should not contact confidential business owners, employees, landlords, vendors, or customers without written approval from the assigned broker.
